The woman I look up to the most would be Rihanna. First of all, she’s a completely talented artist in many ways and has changed the music industry. She loves her fans and stays tough in the industry, knowing what she wants and how to get it. She does what she wants and doesn’t care about other people’s opinions. On top of that, she’s using her platform to support charities like LGBTQ+, anti-racism, terminally ill children, Alzheimers and Aids.

ILLUSTRATIONS & MOCKUPS

My idol is Angelina Jolie. She’s an inspiration to me, because she does things not for herself, but for others. She uses her fame and influence to help other people and raise awareness on bigger issues and brings attention to what the real world is like. She has been an advocate for women's rights and has spoken out about the massacre in Srebrenica countless times, which is an emotional and very important topic to me as a Bosnian. She has spent years dedicated to improving the quality of life for people around the globe.

CONCEPT, LAYOUT & TEXT

“Although she died a year before I was born, Princess Diana inspires me in a lot of ways - to this day. She used her position of power and fame to give hope and comfort to those whom society too frequently forgets - the victims of poverty, disease and social injustice. A truer princess this world has never known.”

BACKGROUND SKETCHES & RESEARCH

“I’m repeatedly deeply amazed by Michelle Obama. By being open about her struggles, including racism, mental health, relationships, children and her working life, she inspires me and many others to flourish in the face of judgement, opinions and prejudice.”
